    History

Co-founded in 1999 by Sherry Adams and Joe Wagner, Stratford School opened its first campus in Danville with only four classrooms and a small, dedicated team of educators. Word spread quickly, and the school was soon full. The following year, Stratford added a second campus in Sunnyvale which also filled to capacity.

After numerous requests from parents commuting 30-40 minutes to school each day, Stratford opened a third campus in Los Gatos. Over the years, we have continued to receive similar requests from parents in surrounding Bay Area communities which encouraged us to open campuses in Fremont, San Jose, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Morgan Hill, San Francisco, and most recently in Pleasanton.

Future plans for growth include bringing Stratford’s vision of academic excellence to more communities throughout the Bay Area. We are committed to offering a challenging curriculum focused on core subjects, creating a safe and nurturing school environment, and motivating students through high expectations. Our steadfast commitment to this vision continues to guide us in our growth each year.
