Curriculum

Middle School

Middle School continues the Stratford tradition of excellence. Our goal is to prepare and mentor students for admission to private high schools, or advanced placement in public high schools. Building a strong academic curriculum is a major benefit of the Core Knowledge Sequence. This curriculum provides a solid, sequenced, and specific outline for the middle school program by delivering a broad base of knowledge that's rich in vocabulary, analytical thinking, and consistent instruction. Our high standards for this core curriculum are well-balanced with instruction in art, music, science, physical education, and Spanish.

In addition, students are encouraged to actively participate in leadership and extracurricular activities, including student government, newspaper, yearbook, speech and debate clubs, and performing arts, among others. Sports include volleyball, soccer, flag football, and basketball. Our students take part in a variety of community service projects, including Second Harvest Food Drive and the annual Family Giving Tree.

Our small class size ensures a safe, disciplined, and respectful learning environment for students. All students are provided the necessary tools to excel, including access to a full science lab, study hall, and laptops for each student.

Classes are offered at our middle school campuses in San Jose, Santa Clara, and Fremont with weekday bus service available from select Stratford campuses. For information, please inquire at the campus.
