Preview Stratford's Preschool Program
Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten
Stratford’s preschool curriculum is designed to help three and four-year-olds develop a strong foundation for learning. Visit a preschool classroom and you will find a room filled with bright colorful artwork. Children might be dancing and playing instruments together during daily music and movement, or learning how to play cooperatively during imaginative play. They may be engrossed in daily science activities, or lessons about the weather or outer space.

If Michelangelo happened to be the artist of the month, it wouldn’t be surprising to find children under their desks pretending to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. You may find them in the middle of SMART Circle (Stratford Math and Reading Time), singing songs that help them learn the sounds of the letters in the alphabet or discussing basic mathematic concepts. Or, they may be outside navigating their tricycles around the riding track.

Taken together, these activities are designed to promote your child’s cognitive, social, and physical development. Most importantly, the curriculum is designed to help children develop confidence in themselves and a love for school which is the best preparation for a lifetime of learning that we can offer.

Stratford offers half-day and full-day programs. Parents may choose between morning and afternoon programs that are two, three or five days per week, and a full-day program that is five days per week.
Junior Kindergarten
For children who may be age-appropriate for kindergarten but need the gift of time to further enhance their kindergarten readiness skills, both developmentally and social/emotionally, Stratford offers an all new Junior Kindergarten program.

With a special emphasis on introducing and building upon the necessary kindergarten readiness skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics, Stratford teachers will spend time daily to further develop the child’s social/emotional skills, while fostering independence and autonomy. In addition to developing these vital kindergarten readiness skills, Spanish, music, and physical education taught by specialty teachers will be an integral part of the curriculum. It's a full day of learning without nap time!

Stratford's new Junior Kindergarten program is available at select campuses; including: Danville Sycamore Valley, Los Gatos, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara Winchester, San Francisco, and Sunnyvale De Anza Park. To learn more, please schedule a tour.
