Stratford’s computer science program helps students get ready for college and future tech jobs. Our classes meet or exceed standards from the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and International Standards for Technology in Education (ISTE). Our students start by learning the basics of programming in elementary school. By high school, they are ready to explore more advanced topics, including full-stack development, AI, Cybersecurity, app development, game design, advanced robotics, and more. In class, students might design apps, build robots, or solve problems with code. Outside of class, they can join the FIRST Robotics club, take part in coding contests, or attend Hackathons. Our strong HS CS program is a natural extension of our unique elementary and middle school CS program that not only gives the students a foundation in the concepts of computing, but more importantly develops their critical thinking and problem solving skills, applicable to any endeavor.
