Understanding the Teenage Brain and Encouraging Positive Development with Dr. Adriana Galván

We are pleased to present a very special Parent Speaker Series event with Dr. Adriana Galván. Dr. Galván is a Professor of Psychology and the Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she is also Co-Executive Director of the Center for the Developing Adolescent. A world renowned speaker, Dr. Galván has extensively studied the development of the teenage brain. She will share why teenagers often gravitate toward risky behaviors, why their brain is wired to seek out rewards, and how adolescent decision making can influence future brain development. Join us to learn how to better understand what is going on inside your teen’s brain, how it relates to their behavior, and how you can encourage positive brain development during this critical time in their life.
