Reopening and Reuniting at Stratford in the Age of COVID-19

As California counties have begun to allow schools to reopen for in-person instruction, many of Stratford’s schools are in the process of welcoming K-8 students back to campus, with stringent health and safety protocols in place.  Prospective families are invited to schedule a tour and learn more.

Todd Bickel

Director of Lower School

"I believe that education should focus on the development of the whole child." 

Todd Bickel has been part of the Stratford School family for over ten years, and truly believes in Stratford’s educational philosophy of providing a balanced education. During his time at Stratford, Todd has taught kindergarten, fourth grade, and fifth grade, as well as specialty subjects including computers and physical education. He currently is the Director of Lower School at Stratford School's Santa Clara Pomeroy campus.

Throughout Todd's career, he has received recognition as both a leader and a teacher, including the Principal's Award for “going above and beyond with a student.”

Collaboration is paramount in Todd’s teaching philosophy, knowing it is essential in preparing the next generation for the high demands of a global business community.  Todd strives to develop critical, creative thinkers in his classroom.
