Creative Arts

The arts provide students with a means to express themselves and cultivate creativity, emotional well-being, and self-identity. At Stratford, our arts program includes visual arts, music, and theater. In the visual arts, our students can choose to study media such as drawing, painting, or digital design. They can learn new skills or build on their talents while creating portfolios that they can use for college applications or AP credit. In music and theater classes, our students work with mentors, practice teamwork, and gain performance experience. Theater students study voice, movement, character development, and learn stagecraft skills. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, every child has a chance to shine. Music students learn not only to read music and to play individual instruments but also to play as part of larger ensembles.
