Reopening and Reuniting at Stratford in the Age of COVID-19

As California counties have begun to allow schools to reopen for in-person instruction, many of Stratford’s schools are in the process of welcoming K-8 students back to campus, with stringent health and safety protocols in place.  Prospective families are invited to schedule a tour and learn more.

Maria Vasquez

Preschool Teacher

Maria Vasquez is a preschool teacher at Stratford School's Sunnyvale De Anza Park campus.

With over twenty years of experience, Maria knows that children deserve to know that they are valued for who they are. She aims to think outside the box and experiment with new teaching strategies to help her students feel confidence; she knows that positive reinforcement leads to improved confidence and self-esteem.

Maria personally knows the value that educators can have on someone's life. When she moved to the United States and knew very little English, it is her teachers that helped her through the transition to exceed academically. She wanted to do the same for her community and decided to become a teacher.

In the classroom, Maria is passionate about finding creative ways to maximize student performance, inspiring interest in technology, and instilling a strong sense of self-worth in her students.
