We recognize that parents have numerous options for their child’s education. Why do families choose Stratford School and stay with us until their child graduates? It’s because so many wonderful things happen at our private preschool and elementary school. Let us tell you more!
Spacious Campus
Our large outdoor field provides students with plenty of space for active and engaging Physical Education classes. It’s also used for outdoor learning activities and community events that help build school spirit and encourage teamwork among students. Inside our school, our fully stocked library is a welcoming space where students of all grade levels can explore books, work on research projects, and grow their love of reading. With a wide variety of books and resources, the library supports both academic learning and personal interests.
Student Council
Our 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to join the Student Council, where they begin to build important leadership skills. Through this role, they learn about responsibility, teamwork, and how to be a voice for their classmates. Student Council members help plan school spirit events, organize activities that bring the school community together, and share ideas and suggestions with teachers and staff to help improve the school experience for everyone.
Safety Patrol
In partnership with the Santa Clara Police Department and AAA, our 5th grade students take part in Safety Patrol to help keep our school community safe. These student leaders take on the important job of promoting safety and responsibility during arrival and dismissal times. They help guide their classmates, set a good example, and learn what it means to be dependable and respectful in a leadership role.
Service Learning
We proudly host the Rise Against Hunger event each year, giving students the chance to make a real difference in the lives of others. During this event, students work together to package meals that are delivered to communities in need around the world. It’s a powerful, hands-on experience that helps build empathy, gratitude, and a greater understanding of global issues. Students leave the event feeling proud of their impact and more aware of how they can help others.
