Our Special Projects
Annual Mighty Orator Festival
Our school hosts an Annual Mighty Orator Festival for kindergarten through 5th-grade students. This festival gives students the chance to shine in front of friends and teachers by sharing their poetry, spoken word, and speeches. Judges include leaders from the Milpitas community, with the Mayor of Milpitas joining us for the past two years, along with Stratford’s Founder, Sherry Adams.
MGMP Art Festival
The MGMP Art Festival is something we take great pride in. Each year features a new theme, and students show off their talents through creative artwork. The most recent themes have been multicultural art and “Dressed in Diversity.” For this theme, students learned about clothing styles from around the world and created artwork inspired by various fashion styles. We are grateful to have Milpitas Community Board Members serve as judges for this special event.
Grandparent Day
Grandparent Day is a beloved tradition at Stratford. Grandparents are invited to join us for breakfast and a lively dance! Many live far away, but thanks to Zoom, even grandparents from other countries can take part in the celebration. It’s a highlight of the year that brings generations closer together.
Career Fair
We host a Career Fair where parents share the pride of their professions. Each year, our parents are invited to showcase their work through engaging slides and presentations, giving students a firsthand look at many exciting career paths. It’s a special opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired by our talented parent community.
Celebrating Cultures
We take pride in celebrating the rich diversity of our community by honoring cultural traditions throughout the year. From Holi, Diwali, and Lunar New Year to Eid, Navroz, and our Spring and Fall Festivals, we create an inclusive environment where every culture is respected and celebrated.
Celebrating Student Achievements
At MGMP, we embrace the challenge of competitions! Throughout the year, our students take part in math, science, and robotics events that build critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. Many have earned awards and recognition for their outstanding projects and presentations, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.
