Choosing Stratford School San Jose San Anselmo Way
We recognize that parents have numerous options for their child’s education. Why do families choose Stratford School and stay with us until their child graduates? It’s because so many wonderful things happen at our private preschool and elementary school. Let us tell you more!
Our Special Projects
Committee of Parents
At Stratford San Jose, our Committee of Parents (CoPa) helps bring our campus to life. They organize events, cultural celebrations, and fundraisers. CoPa parents also serve in the classrooms, helping with parties, guest speakers, and family connections. Their involvement builds a welcoming and connected community for students and families.
Social Emotional Learning & Etiquette Programs
At our school, students learn both academics and social and emotional skills. They take part in daily practices including morning meetings, mindfulness exercises, and journaling to develop empathy and self-control. Guided by the Six Pillars of Character, our community celebrates these values in monthly assemblies. Our etiquette program builds respect, confidence, and social skills. It also helps create a kind and inclusive school culture.
Beautiful Campus
We provide a safe and inspiring place to learn. Set in the Santa Teresa Foothills, our campus offers a quiet and welcoming environment. Our students enjoy a computer lab and a themed library that inspires imagination and a love of reading. We also have multiple stages and a large field for PE, recess, and events. Safety is a top priority. We have a secure building with coded parent entry and privacy screens around our playgrounds. These measures create a safe place for students to thrive.
Celebrating Culture
We celebrate diversity as one of our greatest strengths. We host events that bring culture and learning to life. These celebrations are fun and educational. They give our students the opportunity to learn about the world through stories and traditions. Each January, Multicultural Week ends with our exciting Multicultural Fair. The fair is filled with music, food, art, and community. These celebrations foster respect, kindness, and a strong sense of belonging.
