Choosing Stratford School Sunnyvale Washington Park
We recognize that parents have numerous options for their child’s education. Why do families choose Stratford School and stay with us until their child graduates? It’s because so many wonderful things happen at our private preschool and elementary school. Let us tell you more!
Our Special Projects
Surrounded by Green, Inspired to Grow
Our campus is surrounded by wide green courtyards that create a calm and welcoming place for students to learn, play, and spend time with friends. These open spaces give students the chance to explore, enjoy the outdoors, and feel relaxed during the school day. The natural setting also helps inspire creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Being in this environment helps students feel balanced and ready to take on new challenges with confidence.
Leadership Opportunities
In grades 4–5, students can take part in Student Council and Student Committees, which give them a chance to share their voices and build school spirit. Through these groups, students help plan activities, create new ideas, and work together to make our campus a positive and welcoming place. These leadership opportunities encourage teamwork, responsibility, and pride in the school community while showing students that their contributions truly make a difference.
Partnering For Safety & Service
We are proud to work with our local fire department. They visit our school to teach us about fire safety and how to stay safe in an emergency. They also join us at community events. This helps students learn how to help others, be prepared, and take care of their community.
Service Learning
Our students participate in a variety of community giving initiatives. With the Kids Heart Challenge for the American Heart Association, students participate with excitement, joining a program that teaches the importance of heart health while also encouraging care for others. Through this fundraising effort, students not only support a good cause but also build empathy, practice leadership, and learn how their actions can make a positive difference in the community.
