Stratford School Expands Classes, Programs for Fall

Stratford School, a California-based private school with an emphasis on the areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) is expanding its Altadena campus to offer new classrooms and programs for students.

The campus, which currently works with students from preschool through 3rd grade, has expanded with eight brand new classrooms, a large outdoor play area and a multipurpose field. It is launching two new programs starting in this fall: Mandarin Bilingual Preschool and the Early Preschool Program.

“As our footprint expands at our Altadena campus, we look forward to not only welcoming new students, but continuing to grow as a vibrant school community,” says Judy Burbank, head of school for the Stratford-Altadena campus. “At Stratford, we are excited to introduce our new preschool programs, as well as expand into the upper elementary grades to meet the growing needs of our families.”

The Mandarin Bilingual Preschool is offering a new five-day-a-week program with a two-teacher team to create an immersive and consistent environment for students learning Mandarin. The Early Preschool Program is also a five-day-a-week program for students starting at two years old, designed to meet the growing demands for educational programs to introduce young children to creative learning environments.

“At our Stratford Altadena campus, these new preschool programs and additional elementary classrooms will continue to fulfill our mission of providing a stimulating and nurturing school environment that motivates students through high expectations in a collaborative and fun learning environment,” says Sherry Adams, founder of Stratford School.
