Sherrie Paregian

Head of School

“I look forward to continuing to build a strong Stratford community in San Francisco and share the spirit and values of our school.”

Sherrie Paregian brings to Stratford School over two decades of experience in education. Sherrie’s Stratford experience includes 4 years teaching and 17 years serving as a school leader at its Los Gatos, Palo Alto, Fremont, and San Francisco campuses. In addition to her leadership experience, she held a Head of School position at a Bay Area private school, as well, she currently serves as the Head of School at both Stratford’s San Francisco Parkside and 14th Avenue locations.

Sherrie holds a B.A.in Liberal Studies, M.A. in Education Administration, and California Teaching and Administrative Credentials from San Francisco State University. She greatly enjoys collaborating with and supporting teachers to bring out their individual best, as well as the best in each of their students. As Head of School, her goals are to uphold and support Stratford’s purpose, ESLR’s, and to contribute to its success in balanced education.

Sherrie has two children who attend Stratford and is also a professional ballroom dancer. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, going on walks, and riding her bike.

Maria Rodriguez

Early Childhood Education Director

“I love witnessing firsthand the curiosity children have as they explore, learn and
grow.”

In 2022 Maria joined the Stratford SF14 campus. Maria’s leadership potential has been evident through her various roles within the school. She was a preschool Spanish and science teacher, preschool classroom teacher, elementary summer camp teacher, summer camp coordinator, leader in training and current Early Childhood Director. Her collaborative approach and excellent communication skills have fostered strong relationships within the school community, making her a trusted and respected figure among colleagues and families alike.

Maria earned her Early Childhood Credentials from Saddleback College. Her academic journey has provided her with a solid foundation in child development, curriculum design, and leadership principles.

In her personal life, Maria enjoys the great outdoors, exercising, and enjoying the city’s extensive list of flavorsome restaurants.

Nicky Chin

Early Childhood Education Assistant Director

“I look forward to building a strong family partnership while continuing to provide care and education for our children.”

Nicky has been a proud member of the Stratford community since 2020. During her time at Stratford, she has had the joy of teaching Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Summer Kindergarten Prep, and Mandarin Bilingual Pre-K. She is excited to now serve families and staff as Assistant Director, supporting a nurturing and collaborative school environment.

With over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Nicky brings a deep understanding of child development and a strong commitment to partnering with families. She has worked with children from infant-toddler through Pre-Kindergarten and holds a B.A. in Consumer and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Child and Family Studies from San Francisco State University.

Gaelle Jeune

Director of Admissions & Marketing

Gaelle Jeune is the Director of Admissions for Stratford School’s 14th Ave. and Parkside campuses, while also supporting marketing efforts for all Stratford schools in San Francisco. With a deep passion for education and a strong understanding of school communities, she leads initiatives to connect prospective families with Stratford’s exceptional programs, ensuring a seamless and welcoming admissions process.
