Stratford Schools Make a Lasting Impact by Giving Back to their Communities
As our Stratford School campuses kick off another year of giving back to their communities. We wanted to share the incredible impact that our students and schools made last year.
In 2024-25, Stratford campuses contributed:
It is also worth noting that our overall lifetime donations to the American Heart Association from Stratford School surpassed the $2 million mark. Stratford campuses have been participating in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser for many years, and we are thrilled to be one of the top-earning groups of schools in California.
In addition to the Heart Association, some of the local organizations that our schools chose to work with last year include the Milpitas Food Pantry, One Warm Coat, Rise Against Hunger, Angel Aid, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, St. Jude’s Trike-a-thon, Children’s Tumor Foundation, and San Jose Fire Dept. Toy Drive, Salvation Army – Angel Giving Tree, Santa Clara Beekeepers Guild, Project Hope Alliance, Zimbabwe Run, Friends in Deed, and many others.
Stratford Cares is the giving program at every Stratford School campus that encourages students to engage with their local communities in meaningful ways. Students collaborate to identify a specific need in their community that they wish to address. They then raise funds, donate goods, or offer their time and talents to support the cause. These giving campaigns are organized and led by the students, providing them with the opportunity to see how their actions can have a direct impact on the world around them. The pride and sense of accomplishment that our students experience can only be gained through active participation. Students take this job very seriously, and the impact and connections they make within their community are invaluable.
Stratford’s motto, “Summa Spes, Summa Res,” which translates to “Highest Hopes, Highest Things,” encourages us to aim for excellence not only in academics but also in nurturing our students to develop good character. Our goal is to help them become responsible citizens who will continue to make positive contributions to the world around them long after they graduate from Stratford.
